Manny Diaz
Manny Diaz is the Interim President of the University of West Florida. he was appointed to the role in May 2025. Diaz previously served as Florida’s Commissioner of Education, a role he held from 2022 to 2025, where he focused on student outcomes, career pathways and K–12 and higher education alignment. Prior to that, he served in the Florida Senate from 2018 to 2022 and the Florida House of Representatives from 2012 to 2018, where he held several leadership positions including chair of the Senate Education Committee.
