Located in Pensacola, Florida, we are seeking a dedicated Unity Developer to further enhance our initiative dedicated to testing new technologies. Our project has matured into a robust platform for virtual reality innovation with a focus on creating simulated environments to test and develop new technologies, making significant contributions to both academic research and practical applications.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement virtual reality applications using the Unity game engine.
- Create optimized, game-ready assets and scenes for high performance in a virtual reality context.
- Write robust and maintainable C# code for various game functionalities.
- Collaborate with team members to design and develop new features for the virtual environment.
- Test and debug applications to ensure smooth functionality in varied VR settings.
- Integrate advanced multiplayer networking features, tailoring experiences for multiple users simultaneously.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Unity game development
- Strong understanding of scene optimization techniques in Unity.
- Proficient in C# and scripting for game logic and interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in 3D modeling and creating game-ready models.
- Ability to develop custom materials and shaders for a visually appealing output.
- Previous work involving virtual reality applications.
- Experience with multiplayer game architecture and networking, ideally with Mirror.
