Coding is Cool by Dr. Kristy H Seitz, IHMC

March 3, 2018

March Science Saturday featured “Coding is Cool”, presented by Kristy Seitz. Students learned to use the programming language Python, which is used in real-world applications like Air Traffic Control, graphic-intensive movies like the new Star Wars, and NASA workflow automation. The 9 am session was for 3rd and 4th graders, and 11 am was for 5th and 6th graders. Separating students by aged allowed Kristy to present more advanced programming in the second session. Volunteers from Vanguard, Westport and Forest High Schools assisted.
