Noah Thompson is originally from the Pensacola area. He graduated from Pace High School and attended the University of Florida, where he earned a degree in computer engineering in May of 2026.

Noah joined the IHMC in the summer of 2025 as an intern working with Jared Li on the Aware-Ables Exoskeleton project. While working towards his degree, Noah also was part of a research team working on neural implant modeling and design under Dr. Jack Judy at the Nanoscience Institute of Medical and Engineering Technology lab at UF. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he returned to Pensacola and completed a second internship with IHMC, this time developing voice commands and tracking features for Alex. He was brought on as a Research Associate in August of 2026 working on both humanoid and exoskeleton projects.
