Senior Research Associate

Mary is a senior research associate at IHMC working with the health, resilience, and performance team. She joins Dr. Maracas Bamman’s team from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, where she has worked as an environmental scientist.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of West Florida; and a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Tennessee.

Her career accomplishments include acting GS-14/15 interagency portfolio manager for the federal government; focusing on human machine teaming and AI; rebuilt and operated a DOD explosive testing laboratory that was shutdown for 10 years; leveraged technology connections across the USG and private industry to drive concept development for the future warfighter.
