Research Interests

• Joel’s research interests are wide, but particularly focus on the interactions between computers and human memory and learning. His other research focus are  in healthy behavior research and explainable AI. He is currently working with Peter Pirolli and Toshiya Miyatsu.

Other Research

Joel is very interested in how people learn programing languages. He is also interested in how  people communicate using instant messengers.
