Husam is a robotics intern working with IHMC’s exoskeleton team. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master’s degree in robotic system development from Carnegie Mellon University. Among his projects at Carnegie Mellon was the development of COBORG, an exoskeleton robot arm that acts as an extra hand for aircraft manufacturing technicians. Outside of work, Husam likes to relax by meditating and sitting in nature.
