Jon Mogford
Jon Mogford, PhD, who has an extensive background in biology research and its applications in the field of defense medicine and therapeutics. His expertise includes wound healing/regeneration, cellular therapies, tissue engineering and vascular physiology. His specific interests focus on therapeutics for wounded soldiers, protein design processes and drug delivery. He has authored or co-authored 29 peer-reviewed publications. He served as senior vice president and chief operating office of Texas A&M Health from 2021-2023. He held several roles at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) from 2005 to 2011. He co-founded Safi Biotherapuetics in 2019, a company focused on cell therapy, and he served as CEO for SmartPharm Therpuetics, a startup specialzing in RNA therapies.
