Quinche Carr
Assistant Facility Security Officer
Quinche Carr (Q) is a former Department of War security professional with more than 12 years of experience in personnel security, counterintelligence, industrial security and Special Access Programs. She joined IHMC in 2026 as the Assistant Facility Security Officer where she assists in the planning and execution of IHMC’s overall security as well as its research compliance. She works with IHMC’s Chief Security Officer David Shelby to ensure that IHMC maintains its compliance for all government-related ventures and projects.
Q is experienced in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, which is the regulatory guideline used by the U.S. government to dictate how private contractors and industry partners must access, store, and safeguard classified information. She has expertise in the protection of sensitive information, regulatory compliance and operational security.
By fostering secure environments that protect classified and unclassified research, Q supports IHMC’s mission of pioneering research in human performance, artificial intelligence, robotics and other transformative technologies that advance human and machine capabilities.
Q, who is originally from Baltimore, MD, spends her spare time fishing, roller skating, watching anime, and spending time with friends and family.
