HRP Research Internships
Description:
IHMC welcomes motivated students seeking exciting research experience in our Healthspan, Resilience, and Performance (HRP) research program. Our research ranges from military personnel in extreme environments to aging and chronic disease, and from small molecules to whole human physiology and performance. Internships span several focus areas: physiology, rehabilitation, cell and molecular biology, metabolism, data science, exercise biology, and environmental science. This is an ideal opportunity for students seeking real-world research and development experience at a world class institution while also earning credit hours (if allowed by the intern’s college or university).
Start Date: As soon as the applicant is available.
Duration: To be determined.
Location: Pensacola, Florida.
Opportunities and Responsibilities:
- Receive mentored research training and career development.
- Develop and apply new skills in clinical/applied research or cellular/molecular research.
- Learn about human research design and execution.
- Contribute to ongoing human studies or clinical trials in healthspan, resilience or performance.
- Learn how to collect, analyze, and interpret research results.
- Improve communication and collaboration skills.
