Virginia Vaughan
Research Associate
Virginia initially joined IHMC as an intern in January 2024 working with Adrien Moucheboeuf and his augmentics team. She became a full-time Research Associate in September 2024, working with Dr. Morley Stone’s group on the A2PEX project, contributing to the development of a data pipeline designed for use across multiple studies. She also works with Dr. Brodie Mather and Dr. Anil Raj on their ASCEND project, which focuses on studying the cyberpsychology of hackers through data collection and behavior analysis.
Virginia is a passionate and professional software designer whose skill set and technical capabilities match the collaborative environment among IHMC’s human performance and augmentics teams.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in software design and development from the University of West Florida, and is currently working towards a master’s in data science for analytics and modeling at the same institution. With exposure to both software development and data science, Virginia aims to apply her skills to advance research in data engineering and human-computer interaction.
Outside of work, Virginia enjoys developing video games, cooking, crochet, and going to the beach.
