Kevin Carff

Research Associate
Kevin is a Research Associate at IHMC, where he has been an active contributor to virtual reality research and development since 2022. He first joined IHMC as an intern before formally becoming a Research Associate in May 2024. His work has mainly focused on projects exploring how VR can be leveraged to derisk new technology concepts.
Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of West Florida in 2023 and completed his master’s degree in computer science in 2025. His academic work focused on utilizing computer vision in mixed reality scenarios to achieve accurate localization.
Beyond IHMC, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, building electronics projects, and creating 3D-printable art.
