Greg Dubbin is a Research Associate at IHMC Ocala. He will be working with Bonnie Dorr in the field of natural language processing and machine learning. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida. While studying at UCF he focused on Machine Learning techniques such as Artificial Neural Networks and Evolutionary Algorithms. During this time, he did internships for Motorola and BAE. He completed his Master of Science and DPhil (PhD) at the University of Oxford in 2010 and 2015, respectively.
Greg’s research interests are applying Machine Learning techniques to Natural Language Processing problems. His NLP focus is learning syntax and Machine Translation. His machine learning interests include Bayesian inference like Particle Filters and Gibbs samplers as well as neural networks.
